The site is self explanatory: He borrowed a friends lotus car and managed to crash it (fortunately no injuries to anyone) and was left to the break the news to the owner that there was 4k of damage. The owner found out the damage was not covered on the insurance. My friend has therefore developed a blog recording his efforts and experiences in raising funds to pay the mechanics bill.
